Latin poetry, circa 1733.

Manuscript, in a single hand, of a collection of several dozen serious poems in Latin, written by Oxford University students. Several of the poems concern Oxford University, including one titled Comitia Oxoniensia and another titled Calendarium Oxoniense AD 1733. Other titles include Ad regem; Domus regia; and Oratorium sive musica sacra dramatica. Following the poems, in another hand, is an essay titled Experiments made in Silesia on the encreasing or multiplying of corn; as well as numerous medicinal recipes and instructions for gout; the greater increase of milk in cows; and directions for growing tobacco.
